Winchester MAG AGM Minutes 2014 Held at Jolly Farmer 28/10/2014 Meeting started at 20:45 Apologies. none Approve minutes for last year. Proposed by Mark Young, Seconded by Rick Paglia and accepted. Rep's report: Group is still ticking over at Jolly Farmer. Jim has been checking with Romsey Rugby Club for next year's Bike Show for next April. Date TBA. Another possibility is The Angel, Alton which is more popular. Another suggestion from the members was Henry's Farm but not so popularly supported. Jim has been contacted by a local radio station and offered free advertising. Treasurer's report: Group donated £150 to Region for fighting fund at previous AGM. Our total income for the year was £344.04 of which our show raised £18.21, Raffle tickets £7.00, Membership £25.00, and Fighting fund collections £186.83. Expenditure Membership £25.00, Raffle tickets £15. Proposal to present a cheque for £175 to be presented to Region for the fighting fund, which will show in next year's accounts was carried. Will purchase a MAG Membership as a raffle prize. IT Report Website being kept updated. Dealer report Motts struggling. Bikers of Baddesley also not doing well. Valley MCs are doing well, having moved into web sales. Bahnstormers also doing well. Jim researching others in Salisbury area. Officers stand down for election. Hand over to Tim Peregrine Regional Rep (NC rep also) for election. Regional Rep's report Regional Rep gave a brief summary of where MAG are currently. MAG has lost a lot of members over the past year but Southern Region has been holding on and not lost too many. AGC next year is in Bridgwater in Somerset. Region hoping to hold a hustings in the run up to the next general election. Farage and UKIP will be pushing to win in Eastleigh, given how close the previous by-election was. MAG is looking to raise a legal challenge over the latest driving licence testing regime. Hoping to get in touch with local training schools. Working group being set up to support this from the regions. Discussions with Eastleigh about bike parking furniture has got them removed and Eastleigh Borough have now heard of MAG and contacts have been made. Whiteley Council planned humps in road on bend on hill where it regularly ices up. A Councillor given a ride to show the problems, and as a result the worst ones were not put in. SR MAG are now sitting in on Hampshire Road Safety forums. Regional AGM 8th November in New Forest at The Rising Sun, Bashley Common Road, Wootton, New Milton BH25 5SF BMF on ascendent again now Grahame Hay is on board, but he is also a Salisbury MAG member.
