Jim mentioned reducing number of meetings to once monthly. Deferred to AOB. Encourage young riders to show up. No show In the past years due to low numbers. Winchester Rugby club proposed for show, still to find out hire cost. Impractical for AGC as dates clash with club's activities. Dates available in July. Treasurers report. Summary - Bank account details: Opening balance in 2019 £517.77 Closing balance £281.77 Income £615 Expenditure £851 Cash in hand details: Opening balance £130.02 Closing balance £99.94 Income £933.87 Expenditure £963.95 Current funds stand at £381.71 Books available for inspection. We have sufficient funds to make a donation to the region Proposed £200 to go to region leaving group with £181.71. Accepted Query regarding 12 badges which were given to region and recently 10 were returned, so only 2 sold at region. Not necessary to recover sales money from region as the moneys are all for MAG. Officers stand down Tim takes the chair and introduces other attendees. Thanks to Jim, and the group, Winchester has donated more per head to the region than any other groups. Any income from donations, products sales or events all ends up going to MAG's fighting fund. Question re the whereabouts of the regional gazebo. Tim holds the gazebo, and ferries it around to other shows. Haven't bought weights, but are using large water containers to anchor it down. The gazebo is a substantial market trader type so fairly strong, although the cover has aged. Regional funds continue to feed back to the national fighting fund on regular basis as determined at regional rep's meetings. Attendance numbers are fairly low across the board although membership is still holding well. Push on MC theft is ongoing and meetings being held with authorities. Meeting with senior police in Kent. Government position is zero emissions at tailpipe, and no provision for alternative fuels. As a result many manufacturers are ending development of ICE bikes. ULEZ expanding to M25 in August. Colin Brown is very active in a lot of areas. More and more areas introducing LEZs. Seems to be spreading around the country. Mention of Itchen bridge re-introducing MC fees. MAG is still fighting, lots of events coming up, and hope to support them as a region. Neil Liversidge - has changed the frequency of NC meetings. Usual provisos for observer attendance - arrange with chair. John Baker and Richard have been attending Hampshire road safety meetings. Motorway survey went out. Now back to two staff in Central Julie and Louise. Still involved with FEMA, but there are issues with differences of opinions, so this is being monitored. VED - Lembit pursuing taxation based on vehicle weight - hoping to get a question raised in Parliament about it. Hazourdous white lining, worries that there is too much over painting - limit should be 6mm or less. Covid now more or less behind us, but we still need to mention on risk assessments. Basingstoke Festival of Transport coming and want to put stand up as MAG Foundation to avoid fees as it is a charity. Any money raised can be split evenly between the foundation and MAG. Covid precautions for this are it is open air and we could provide hand sanitiser on the stand. Election of officers. Jim Dyson happy to stand for Rep. Dave Sumsion also willing to stand. John Franklin proposed and Martin Hutton seconded Dave Sumsion. Query regarding Dave's eligibility, but on consulting rep's handbook and constitution, accepted by the group that he could stand as the criteria had been met. Rick proposed Jim Dyson. No seconder. Dave Sumsion elected as Rep. Treasurer/note-taker John Franklin proposed Mark Young, Dave Sumsion seconded so elected. Products officer - proposed Rick Paglia by Mark Young and John Franklin seconded, also elected. Handed over to the new rep Dave at 21:04 Dave thanked Jim for all his past efforts. Wants to collate a list of upcoming events each month. Tim mentioned the next regional meeting 3rd Tuesday in March at the Station Andover. Upcoming events in the region - NC in March, Southampton AGM 12th April. Basingstoke still not active, but there is still interest. Dave Sumsion suggested we discuss a regional MC/Clubs liaison officer at the regional rep's meeting. AOB Jim Dyson & Rick Paglia proposed and seconded reducing meetings to one a month on first Tuesday with proviso of calling another second meeting. Communication is a possible issue, letting people know if second meeting required. One issue is not being able to get through the business in one meeting as there is often a lot of discussion. Rick withdrew seconding. Decided second Tuesday as business and fourth as a social meeting with possibility of occasional visits. If anyone sees flyers please give to Dave. Date for next AGM 6th Feb 2024 meeting ended at 21:28
